Türkiye Otomotiv Endüstrisi Şubat Ayı İhracatında Yüzde 19 Artışla 3,544 Milyar Dolarlık İhracat Gerçekleştirdi
According to OIB data, Turkey's automotive industry's export in February increased by 19% to 3.544 billion dollars. The sector, which ranks first in Turkish exports, accounted for 16.8% of total exports.
Baran Çelik, Chairman of OIB Board of Directors, stated, "As the automotive industry, we achieved the highest February export so far and experienced significant increases in all main product groups. This situation proves the agility of the Turkish automotive industry in the global supply chain. We are right in the middle of geopolitical risks, but we are focused on the stable growth of our sector with our high value-added and green transformation-oriented strategy. We will continue to be one of Europe's most reliable partners in terms of sustainability and high technology."
Supplier Industry Export Increased by 10%
In February, the Supplier Industry's export reached 1.345 billion USD with a 10% increase. Passenger Cars export increased by 9% to 1 billion USD, Motor Vehicles for the Transport of Goods export increased by 36% to 654 million USD, Bus-minibus-midibus export increased by 55% to 327 million USD, and Tractors export also increased by 48% to 172 million USD.
Germany, the country with the highest export in the Supplier Industry, experienced a 23% increase, while France had a 19% increase, Italy had a 24% increase, the United Kingdom had a 14% increase, Belgium had a 35% increase, and the Czech Republic had a 17% increase in exports. There was a 16% decrease in exports to Spain.
France, the country with the highest export in passenger cars, saw a 36% increase in exports, while there were increases of 17% to Spain, 15% to Italy, 63% to Slovenia, and 48% to Belgium. There were decreases of 10% to Germany, 41% to the United Kingdom, and 15% to Portugal. In Motor Vehicles for the Transport of Goods, there were increases of 41% to the United Kingdom, 31% to Germany, 155% to France, 31% to Italy, and 105% to Belgium. There was a 44% decrease in exports to Spain. In the Bus Minibus Midibus product group, there were increases of 44% to France, 185% to Italy, and a very high increase to the United Arab Emirates, while in Tractors, there were high increases to Germany and Poland.
Germany Again Leads the Way, 45% Increase in Exports to France
In February, the export to Germany, the largest market group, was 544 million USD, while the second-largest market, France, saw a 45% increase with 459 million USD in exports. The export to Italy, in the third-largest market position, increased by 31% to 338 million USD. There were increases of 30% to Slovenia, 43% to Belgium, 20% to Poland, 38% to the Czech Republic, and 31% to the Netherlands, while there was a 21% decrease in exports to Egypt.
In February, 2.686 billion USD of exports were made to EU countries, accounting for 76% of the total exports. Other European countries ranked second among the country groups with a 10.5% share. There was a 67% increase in exports to Middle Eastern countries.
